Tai Chi Meet meets Wednesdays at 6:00pm at our new location in Lakewood, CO starting NOV 30th.
The Chinese have known for many centuries that Tai Chi Chuan was excellent for a person’s body and mind. On the physical side it facilitates digestion, promotes blood circulation, benefits the kidneys and enables the body to utilize large amounts of oxygen through deep and natural breathing.
Tai Chi Chuan is good for any individual, whether a muscular man or a slender woman, an active adolescent or a white-haired grandmother. It does not strain the body with harsh movements, but tunes up its natural functions. It gives the person the best form of health and fitness.
The benefits of Tai Chi Chuan on the mind, is as significant as on the body. Our problems may be different, but their effect on us is the same. We suffer from frustrations and tensions in various degrees, resulting in stress which is harmful to both the body and the mind. As a health tonic Tai Chi Chuan can make us physically and mentally sound. Its slow and gentle movements act to “lubricate’” every part of the body and relax the mind. This ancient system renders our thinking lucid, turns our temper gentle and brings us peace of mind that helps us to function well in our hectic modern world…
It is no wonder that many thousands of people in the US have found Tai Chi Chuan a sound exercise for the body as well as an affective preparation for facing everyday problems. The slow, soft, and gentle movements are like waves of the ocean. These gentle movements, combined with a realization of the body and the mind, are sometimes called “meditation in motion.”
