What we're about

You're invited to a beginner 12 bar blues jam. We get together nearly every week on Weds at 6p in Red Hill / Moanalua Valley area. Sessions are 2 hours spent on one, maybe two, 12 bar blues songs to culminate in a recording like a souvenir.

Singer, guitar, bass, keys, harmonica, sax, trumpet,... washboard? I have inexpensive keys and PA for electric guitar / bass so you can travel light.

12 bar blues are easy to start, hard to master. If you aren't familiar with 12 bar blues, check out this site for structure, chords, and guitar help.

We play variations on classic 12 bar songs such as:

1) "Crossroads" in a blues like John Mayer

2) "Dust my broom" in a blues rock style like Frankie Chavez (

3) "Going down Slow" is classic swing like the Bland / King version

4) "Things I Used to Do" Guitar Slim

5) "Hound Dog" done by Big Mama Thornton

6) "Thrill is Gone" by King

7) CC Rider

Classic by Chuck Willis

8) "Stormy Monday" Etta James version) -OR- -OR-

Chord sheets for some the above are posted on google drive and you can access with this link:
