What we're about

Meditation can be a hard habit to stick to, but it doesn't have to be.

Our sessions are beginner-friendly. They're music-infused, formatted for people with overactive minds, and we discuss hacks that make meditation easier for fidgety newbies. Sitting or lying on your back is optional.

From week to week, we do different types of meditation such as guided, gratitude, mantra, TM, and heart rhythm, and we usually incorporate some elements of visualization.

Join us every Friday at 7.pm. at Neighborhood Church in Pasadena (Room 23).

Mindful Meditation

Before we meditate, we discuss a mindful topic or do an activity. For 2019, we're reading from and applying the concepts from The Untethered Soul by Michael Singer. Class size varies from 5 to 8 people, most of whom find us outside of this meetup group. Donations accepted and goes to Neighborhood. WHAT TO BRING TO CLASS Optional: - Yoga mat (the room is carpeted, so not necessary unless it'll make you more comfortable), - When the temperature is cooler, you may want to bring a sweater or blanket, - The book or try to read ahead before class. Audio versions of The Untethered Soul also available (by chapters) on YouTube.

They provide support and allow your body to maintain the right alignment so you can sit comfortably longer. - When the temperature is cooler, you may want to bring a sweater or blanket.
