Design - Creative Prototyping

Hi friends,

For this meetup, we'll be exploring prototyping in our projects:

• Different techniques we use to get in a creative zone during product prototyping.

• Omar will be giving a demonstration of a simple yet powerful prototyping and wireframing app called POP (Prototyping On Paper) - It's free, download it!

• If anyone would like to share their prototyping process, please do so! We’d love to learn from you:

In general, we'd love to have a couple of start-ups that are looking for feedback give a brief demo of your project to the group. Whether it's feedback on the design, idea execution, user experience, or just helping you brainstorming ideas, we're here to help, because the only way to get anything done is to just start collaborating and building. If you’re interested in giving a short presentation, send an email to [masked] with a brief description of what you'll be talking about and what type of feedback you'd like!

Also, we'd like to reinforce that this group is NOT for:

1) People who take and don’t give, or otherwise throw the group off balance--if you join, you must listen and ask questions as much as you talk. Please avoid dominating conversation and veering off topic, there’s plenty of time to do so after the event.

2) People who do not have a professional interest in design.

3) Recruiters who don’t contribute to the group.

And here's what's in store for future events:

3) October - Show and Tell or Watch and Absorb

• talk about or show your progress

• collaborate and co-work with designers and devs

• stay inspired, and you'll see your project through

4) November - Design Essentials, Critique

• get more pairs of eyes on your work

• cut out the fat and keep what sticks

• head home primed with stuff to do

5) December - Design Field Trip

• explore the Old Town Winter vista!

• what keeps us warm...

• hot chocolate, anyone?

6) January - Peer to Peer User Test Exchange

• bring a useable product or mockup to share

• get direct feedback from designers

• road map your future

Due to an unforseen Bittersweet closure we have relocated to Eamonn's Dublin Chipper down the street. See you guys there!
