How did you find this particular group? (word of mouth? internet? etc.)

I've been interested in the Transition movement since I took a Transition training in early 2009. I first heard from a friend when the book group studying Rob Hopkins' "Transition Handbook" was organized.

What interests you about this particular group?

The human connection and conversations around sustainable living, visioning a more resilient community, and collective action in that direction.

Do you have any sustainable/resilient living skills that you'd be interested in sharing? Any that you'd like to learn?

I've been living the off-grid life for a while, so I have experience (if not intellectual knowledge) with composting toilets, various water systems, solar power, etc. I'd like to learn more about community energy alternatives.

I'm a Mom who lives with my partner and son off the grid in East Belfast. We are doing all we can to create a super-energy-efficient, environmentally sound home.
