What we’re about

We are a group of Cyber/Information security professionals and students made up of members based in and around the capital beltway. We love hacking anything with a network connection and even some stuff without a network connection. Our goal is to provide an opportunity for professionals and students to network while providing an environment that promotes knowledge sharing.

We face a difficult time where "cyber" is the latest buzzword and very few really understand the issue. To understand the issues we face in the cyber realm we must learn to think and act like the aggressor. Our meetups will focus on the offensive side (purely hacking). Occasionally we will discuss the defensive side with an emphasis on bypassing any defensive security measures. We will immerse ourselves in technical information each month. We want to provide our members with practical experience and go beyond what is taught in a typical classroom.  We will have a variety of hands-on opportunities where you can put the skills you gain to test and hack all things. We will also bring in a variety of speakers from the Cyber/Information Security community.

Each member is welcome to contribute to the group. Working on something interesting? Discovered an interesting hack? Vulnerability? Performing interesting research? Share it with the group!

If you have a thirst for cyber security and an appetite for ethical hacking then this group is for you! We welcome all skill levels who have an interest in cyber security!
