Thanksgiving MTB ride Intermediate/advanced

Let's burn some extra calories to get ready for Thanksgiving. We will go up Ben's or Kent's to the top of whoops then take Storm King over to COD. Then Take COD down and maybe ELV or Marvin's Gardens back to the trailhead. This will be a bit of a technical ride as we are going down COD, and that has some pretty rocky section's. They are short and can be walked. I think this ride will be close to 20 miles and should take us a little over 2 hrs. There will be close to 1500 feet of climbing. If you want to make some extra room for pie you can meet me at Juniper Fitness at 9:00 and we can ride to the trailhead. Make a comment if you intend to meet at Juniper so I know to meet you there.

Dress warmly as it will be cold in the AM. I have really been enjoying using hand and toe warmers that I got from Walmart. They have value packs and the handwarmers end up being 60 cents a pair.

Comment below if you have any questions.

Hi all, sorry I missed everybody, got to the trail late 9:45, didn't see many cars (maybe the time was changed?, didn't see David's car, wait a minute wasn't he riding to the trail,) headed up Ben's at 9:52, new trail from 300 rd. to top of lower whoops, up to storm king and on to COD, thought I'd catch somebody didn't happen. Decided to go up tiddlywinks, to Tylers see if I could descend all single track, found the connection, avoided the double track, single all the way back to 41 RD, found the connection to COD, then ELV and back to Phils and home. Great ride snow at the top of Tiddle winks, Kiowa Butte and Tylers, some hike a bike, from the split with the double track Tylers was relatively snow free, great ride down. Again sorry I missed the scheduled ride. Dirk

Thanks for the great ride guys!
Looks like I'll be riding the trainer for a bit as in 6ish weeks. I really dislike indoor riding.

Speedy recovery Gary! I was on the easy ride with Michelle and she was tossing around a VooDoo doll that looked suspiciously similar to you?

OK …. I'm a little 50/50 here …. spent the day RE clearing the southern half of Edison trail system …. which does seem a bit futile with the dead pines out there ….. but I am seeing some potential excellent fatbiking from the northern snowmobile road south to the southern (2 trail) … so I may grab this weather window and make sure that trail is open. Then again I might ride … and then hit the trail!
