Never pass up a chance for a 100. With a 6am start, maybe some food will be left.

I usually don't drink enough. Guess I went too far the other way!

      July 13, 2014

    • LeeAnn

Good thing with the first rest stop not getting water early enough!

      July 13, 2014

  • Ed O.

Great route. I got to the start about 10 after 7:00, so I took off then on the 75 miler.

    July 13, 2014

  • Elliot C.

I'll be doing the century starting at 6am, and plan on slamming a burrito down my facehole at 11am sharp! Yum!

    • Terry K.

So what time did you finish? I think I saw you heading out from Smith rocks probably only an hour ahead of me at that point ;)

      July 12, 2014

  • Terry K.

Was a great ride, I really started to feel it those last 10 miles! Traing for multiday tour and this should have helped.

    July 12, 2014

  • Elliot C.

Fun ride! ...until my rear tire blew up and I got intimate with some chip seal!

    July 12, 2014

    • Leslie O

Oh no!! Hope you are OK

      July 12, 2014

    • neil

bummer! from my observations I think you're the only rider who flatted :)

      July 12, 2014

Beautiful ride! Had a great time... Glad I had my granny gear for the last couple of hills :-)

I barely survived the 50 ; too hot, but a great "tour" nevertheless

    July 12, 2014

Sorry I missed you all, sure was hot at the end!

Be sure to stop by the after party with your bib for a free beer that I'll be pouring :)))

weather forecast is HOT. Neil and his Finnish blood don't like hot. Thinking about a 5:00 am no-fanfare start for the century at a 'nice & easy' pace. (yes it is light at that hour)

    July 6, 2014

    • neil

and if I overheat there's a few places to hop in the river

      July 7, 2014

  • LeeAnn

I'll be riding the 100 at a moderate pace, starting at 5:30 am on a midget-sized white Scott...

    1 · July 7, 2014

  • Jay M

For those doing the 8a.m. start (50 & 75 mile rides), we can meet at the northeast corner of High Lakes Loop and John Fremont (next to the school property) at 7:30 and ride together over to the starting area. I will be starting near the back of the pack and riding at a comfortable touring pace if anyone wants to go as a group, at least to the 50/75 mile split. I'll be the guy on the Focus cross bike with the flat pedals :)....

    1 · July 7, 2014

  • Mary A.

Hi David, I'm doing the 50 - but not very fast! Anyone else?

    2 · June 27, 2014

    • Ken

      50 / 75 75 / 50 Can't decide, I'll do something!

      July 2, 2014

    • neil

more street cred if you man up and do the century :)

      July 3, 2014

  • kathy

I'm doing the 25 mile ride.

    June 27, 2014

    • neil

      egad! That's $2.00 per mile!

      June 27, 2014

    • Dixie B.

Kathy, I'm going to do the 25 mile too....my first TDC.........yipeeee:-)

      1 · June 30, 2014

  • Dave D

    Anybody doing the 50?

    June 27, 2014

  • Walter

I'm thinking the 100 miler, but the 6am start interferes with my beauty sleep. So maybe the 75. We'll see.

    May 15, 2014

    • neil

the century is a better deal- .50 cents per mile vs .66 per mile for the 75 :)

I'm starting to train for this, in my decrepit, geriatric way... Is anyone interested in doing some miles? Do you folks have a group that is already doing this?

    May 31, 2014

    • Jay M

No training ride for the TdC....it's a tour, not a race :). Join some of the weekly BACE road rides to get some miles on the legs prior to the event.

      May 31, 2014

  • Dirk H.

I'll be one of the safety riders on the 100 miler, all you 75 milers aught to bump it up. Look at it this way 6 AM only comes once a year, July 12th.

    May 15, 2014

  • David S.

The 75 miler is a very good ride. You will be ready to eat and rest when finished!! See you there ..

    May 15, 2014

  • Siobhan

Signed up for the 75 miler. Guess that means I'll have to dust the road bike off ;)

    May 15, 2014

  • neil

not sure which length I'll do. Maybe the 7 miler ten times :)

    May 15, 2014

  • Jay M

I'm planning to do the 75 mile ride. Watch for a meeting place to be announced for the 50 & 75 mile riders......
