I got to thinking about our discussion over the missing tip of the cloud...and, yes, I'd like it more with it there, BUT...I hold my ground. My first look at this photo and I queried, "Is that a ship or an island?" And that question is the focus of the photo. It is a ship on a vast expanse of water that shows texture, which means wind. Yet, there is still reflection in the water so it is still relatively calm. Then, this ominous cloud threatens overhead like the marching in of Neapolitan's army. This is the still before the storm. The ship is so small in comparison to the vast sea and the billowing cloud. I feel a strong emotion of something vulnerable in the small ship. A tension. The black mountains set the stage of impending doom. No, I would not crop the water because I like the size of both the adversaries in proportion to the tiny ship. If you crop the water then it enlarges the ship and makes it look like it was in a canal--a safe harbor. I really like this photo and am so impressed that you took it with a small camera.

Huh. I made paragraphs but it did not take. Well, make your own, I guess :)

Nice Tom! It's not the camera as much as the brains behind it!
