Gardening Workshop:

  • Apr 7, 2014 · 6:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

Please RSVP so we can make sure we have enough room and materials for everyone ...

This Gardening Workshop will focus on ways you can prepare for the upcoming growing season. You will learn how to run your own community garden and about sub-irrigated planters and how these things can help us deal with the current drought. Everyone will have the opportunity to build their own sub-irrigated planter to take home with them. If you would like to participate in the project please bring an empty 2-liter soda bottle with you. There is no cost for this project and it's great for kids as long as they are old enough to sit through the talks as well, or feel free to drop in around 7:00pm to participate in just the project.

Agenda:

6:00 - 6:05 Introductions

6:05 - 6:10 Makerspace Update

6:10 - 6:40 How to run a community garden

6:40 - 7:10 Sub-irrigated planters

7:10 - 7:40 Project: Build a sub-irrigated planter

7:40 - 8:00 Makerspace business meeting

Just wondering how everyone's parsley is doing? My daughters is getting quite big now. I posted a picture in the photos section above and that was from only two weeks of growing.
