Light EV's and Ebike Workshop

Since May is National Bicycle Month and we are also celebrating “Bike to Work Week”, our focus will mainly be on E-bikes, E-scooters and Contraptors during the presentation. We will try to include topics for practical innovator/builders to those who just wanting to build something fun. We hope many in our Maker community will be motivated to start collaborating, designing and building new EV’s. Maybe even unleash their creativity into a potential “Kickstater” project. We will also have Shannon O'Hare stop by to talk about Obtanium Works and the upcoming Obtanium Cup. Anyone ready to kick it up a notch?

Agenda:

6:00 - 6:05 Introductions

6:05 - 6:10 Makerspace Update

6:10 – 6:30 Update on the E.V. community

6:30 - 6:50 “The Bosch ebike cometh”

6:50 – 7:15 Shannon O’Hare, aka Major Catastrope of the Obtainium Works will give a presentation on the 3rd Annual Obtainium Cup Contraptor’s Rally to be held on Mare Island, in Vallejo,CA on Sunday, July 27th

A once peaceful and dignified warehouse through no fault of its own, it has become OBTAINIUM WORKS. So named because of the recycled nature of its products and occupants. It is the base of operations for projects such as the Giant Sculpture Gardens (elsewhere in Vallejo) and the new Kinetic Sculpture Races from Vallejo to Mare Island on land, water and rail. Obtainium Works will be the birthplace of many new vehicles for the Mad Hatter Parade, robots for robot wars, sculptures and art for patrons.  The opportunities are endless.

7:15 – 7:40 Open discussion

7:40 - 8:00 Makerspace business meeting
