May Meeting Reminder

From: user 4.
Sent on: Wednesday, April 25, 2012 10:02 PM

To ALL Members:

This is just a short note to remind all of you of our next scheduled meeting to be on Monday, May 7th, 2012 to be held at our regular meeting place in the Community Meeting Room of the Berkeley Public Library on the 3rd Floor from 6:pm - 7:30pm. Their address is:

Berkeley Public Library

2090 Kittredge Street

Community Meeting Room, 3rd Floor

Berkeley CA

As indicated in the meeting highlights, we will be repeating the subject we had at the April meeting of how to use Access with SQL server.

Our new Assistant Coordinator, Dan Stern, will be our presenter for this evenings event.

I also want to remind you of the NOVICE users class that we have scheduled for Wednesday, May 23rd from 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm.

This meeting will be held at the North Branch of the Berkeley Public Library. Their address is:

Berkeley Public Library-North Branch

1170 The Alameda cross street of Hopkins

Berkeley, CA

The meeting room is in the basement of the library. Once you enter the front doors, go to the very back of the library by the elevator. The elevator is not for public use, so use the stairs. Its only two short flights down. The North Branch of the library is very small and there is only the one meeting room.

This NOVICE users class will cover the basics of using Access. We will cover how to create a database including tables, queries, forms, macros, and reports. During this class we will create a simple contact database which will demonstrate these concepts.

The class will be taught by the Group Coordinator, Steven Schuyler, and we also hope to have one of our expert users, Cory Nott there to help provide students with this valuable beginner level information.

We are offering this class because there was an overwhelming number of people at our April meeting who said they were NOVICE users and looking for training.

Here is a link to the details about this class. If you are interested in attending, we ask you to please RSVP. But even if you don't, while this class is not intended for advanced users, ALL members are welcome to attend.

We look forward to seeing you at both our regular May meeting and at this NOVICE class !!!!!!
