This coming Thursday, September 20th is our 3rd ASL Celebration which will take place at the Sacramento Capitol. California Association of the Deaf is PROUD to host this exciting event and we welcome you all to celebrate this day with us. This is also an opportunity to kick off International Day of Signed Languages.

    3 take-aways for me: deaf children deserve asl, legislators (since we were there at the capital, though more generally 'people in positions of power') need to include deaf people in the decision-making process when deciding their fate, and lets enjoy this amazing language!!! i also heard people talk about an expectation that there would be more people there, though im not sure why, since sacto is really in the middle of nowhere... (-;
