New Meetup: Vietnamese/Chinese Vegan Dinner at Golden Lotus

Announcing a new Meetup for Berkeley Vegan Dinner Club!

What: Vietnamese/Chinese Vegan Dinner at Golden Lotus

When: September 9,[masked]:00 PM

Where: Click the link below to find out!

Meetup Description: Hi Fellow Plant Munchers,

For our next Meetup, based on your poll votes, we'll be leaving Berkeley and venturing to Oakland's Golden Lotus. If you've never been to this Vietnamese and Chinese vegan restaurant, you owe it to yourself to come. There are lots of mock meat dishes as well as vegetable-based ones, and the sauces are excellent. Specialties include almost everyone's favorite, Caramelized Chicken (Golden Lotus uses traditional names for their "meat" dishes but there's no animal flesh on the menu).

It's very easy to get to, just steps from the 12th Street BART station, on Franklin, a block east of Broadway at 13th Street. And Souley Vegan is across the street.

I'd like to keep our meetups small enough for everyone to be cozy and to share in the conversation, so space is limited. In consideration of your fellow diners, please RSVP only if you're sure you can come so you don't prevent someone else from attending. And if something comes up, please come back here and change your RSVP. (Thanks to those who have.)

There are no waiting lists, so if you want to come but the event is already full, just keep checking back, especially right before the event--a spot almost always will have opened up for you.

Hope to see you soon!
