Join us for a 5/6 mile stroll starting in Wendover and going east out of the town. We will take in the sights from Coombe Hill (the highest viewpoint in the Chilterns with breathtaking views over Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire and Chequers), then come back through Bacombe nature reserve (noted for its butterflies and orchids).
For anyone who came on the last Wendover walk in April, this will be a completely different route, and if the weather is good, suitable for those wishing to wear flip flops.....you know you all want to.....
There will be the obligatory ice cream van half way round. The route involves some moderate hills.
This walk will be in conjunction with Hertfordshire Activity and Social group.
We will start and finish in the car park of the Red Lion ( http://www.redlionhotelwendover.co.uk/ ) arriving at 10.30 for a 10.45 start.
For anyone wanting to arrive via train, Wendover station is a 5 minute walk away from the pub.
