I am hiking and backpacking are an escape. I have traveled all over the Pennsylvania and around the U.S to hike, backpack and experience the outdoors. I work in the environmental field so I get outside quite a bit while at work.
To me, the Susquehannock Trail in north-central Pa. is my favorite "local" trail. It's a moderately trail within a few hours drive where you can truly get away. There is a wide variety of terrain and some of the trail is so remote that you are hiking through chest high ferns from blaze to blaze. My favorite trail outside Pa. would have to be the Cape Reinga trail at the most northerly point in New Zealand. It has rough terrain, great weather almost year round and beautiful, pristine beaches. Climbing along the headlands from solitary beach to solitary beach is something I will never forget.
I'm an avid hiker/backpacker who lives in Reading, Pa. I travel as often as possible and I like to meet new people and experience new things. I have lived all over the state for school/work.
.Great club with good people.
