Berlin Hack and Tell #17 - (Almost) Christmas Party

Hackers unite!

Time flies when you are having fun. Hopefully this fun involved some kind of hack because very soon it's demo time again at the space station! So wrap it up and compete over the "hack of the month" while chewing on a slice of pizza and chatting with fellow hackers.

bhnt.sponsor =

This time the great guys of Microsoft Developer Network are making sure that we'll have delicious pizza again.

bhnt.rules =

There are not many rules, but:

  • You'll get 5 minutes to present in English
  • you or your team should have built it yourself
  • people can ask you afterwards
  • NO PURE SLIDEDECKS, no pitches, only Demos + Code
  • keep in mind that the audiences is highly technical and starts snoring if you do marketing voodoo
  • entertain us!

if( you.isSure ){ bhnt.rsvp(you, true) }

To give everyone a fair chance the registration will open this time exactly 5 days before the meetup. This will be on Thursday, Dec 06, 6.30pm. Mark it in your calendar!

If you come, tell us through Meetup. If you want to present, tell us in the registration form. And if you have feedback please send it to [masked]. Our relaxed event will only as good as everybody makes it. Bring your hacks and your friends and join us for the evening.

PS: Presenters get a reserved seat. If you want to join for sure you should bring a hack and contact us.

HACK THE PLANET!

Cheers,
Keith and Stefan, your Berlin Hack & Tell organizers

Thanks again to everyone who took part and very much (and embarrassingly forgotten) thanks to Microsoft / MSDN for sponsoring the event!

I just opened up the remaining seats after I set a few people to YES who offered to show a demo. Please be sure to make a *technical demo* showing something cool and explaining the tech behind it. See you tomorrow!

Does the meetup.com-App link to the H&T website or am I missing sth?

    December 10, 2012

  • Stefan H.

If you want to move from the waiting list to the "YES" list you can demo something and get a seat for sure. Just ping us!

I would like to ask everyone who presents to mention link to documentation / source code of your hacks so we can share them online more easily! If you present something and don't want to share details which make possible reproducing your hack (sorry but IMO #lame) then also please consider clearly mentioning it and your motivation why you choose not to share...

I only see a thread for event #16. Is there one for #17?

      December 10, 2012

    • Stefan H.

Normally it will be created shortly after the event when the demos were actually held.
