This European-style coffee bar is a bit different from your typical cafe. There’s no menu board, no branded merchandise, no syrups or pour-overs, and no wifi. Yet all of these “have nots” make for a high-end cafe experience with a sharp focus on what this Philadelphia-based roastery values: the beans. There's a long stand-up bar and natural wood tones throughout, but what really steals the show is a restored 1930s-era La Victoria coffee roaster, turning out drip coffee, espresso drinks and iced drinks. There’s also a farm-to-table movement here, where baristas make small coffee batches with custom blends for other local restaurants. You’ll also find an assortment of pastries, such as croissants, muffins and danishes, all from Alliance Bakery.
