This is a group for those who suffer from major depression, bipolar depression, or anxiety and wish to discuss their experiences with people who understand. Many of us feel the need to mask our symptoms, yet find that the loneliness and sense of isolation that comes with living with these illnesses hard to bear. Participant confidentiality is of utmost importance, and we will take the steps necessary to ensure that it is protected. The intent is to achieve some peace of mind and solace by talking frankly with one another. Another purpose is to get together to take steps to re-direct the self-focus and repetitive thinking that is characteristic of those who have depression, bipolar, or anxiety.
Each meeting will cover topics intended to identify and strengthen coping strategies to improve overall quality of life. Together we can move towards building healthier and ever more meaningful lives.
