Blurb: Management practices used today originated in the industrial revolution and were later refined mid-century by large automotive companies. In those days, productive output was in the form of relatively simple manufactured goods, and economies of scale ruled the day. Today, it's creativity and innovation that are critical to success. It should be no surprise that these two qualities remain elusive in the workplace when the management practices in use are based on a set of principles that consider employees to be replaceable cogs in a masterfully designed machine. Management, as a technology, is due for a disruption. In this presentation, Marius will share his experiences with management innovations at the Nordstrom Innovation Lab.
