Sometimes it is more interesting and satisfying to study a spiritual classic such as the Bhagavad Gita with other like-minded souls than it is to read it alone. You are most welcome to join us every Sunday at 11:30 a.m. We will read a bit of the text and then discuss the implications of the verses as they apply to the eternal Self as well as practical application in our daily lives.
We are not scholars, pundits, Sanskrit experts, or affiliated with any particular religious sect. We are spiritual seekers drawn to the timeless wisdom of the east and the disciplines of yoga, chanting, and meditation. Our meeting place, Little Rishikesh, began as home to Denver Community Kirtan (see our meetup) and has grown into a wonderful community with a variety of activities including yoga nidra, kirtans, drum circle, meditation, potlucks, fellowship, and discussion groups.
There is a 10 a.m. light yoga class on Sundays also (see our meetup Meditation and Yoga at Little Rishikesh) for event description. You are welcome to come early and attend the yoga prior to the Bhagavad Gita study group. Or just come for the class at 11:30.
Little Rishikesh is a spiritual community supported by the voluntary contributions of its participants. Donations appreciated. All are welcome.
