Six people attended. We covered shlokas 4-17 through 4-22. These verses focused on differentiating Karm (actions as prescribed by Vedas), Vikarm (improper actions that ought to be avoided), and akarm (or Karm Yog, i.e., actions which are performed for the pleasure of God without attachment to the results). The proper course of action for us souls is to engage in karma yog or akarm, which do not result in karmic reactions. Avoidance of karm is also considered vikarm and results in negative karmic reactions. We cannot remain idle by nature at any given moment. Thus, we must engage in karma yog with equanimity for our eternal welfare.
