Build your skills and confidence as you learn bicycle-handling techniques, both on individual and group rides. Become a safer, stronger and more skillful rider, and increase your enjoyment of bicycling.
You’ll learn:
• How to prepare your bike and yourself for a ride
• How to safely share the road with motor vehicles and other bicyclists
• Best techniques for efficient riding and maintaining control of your bike
• Riding in rain or low light conditions
• Group riding techniques
The course includes 2 classroom instruction sessions (Tuesday, April 16 and 23, 7:00 PM) at the Ridgewood, NJ Library, and 4 on-the-road training sessions (Saturdays April 27, May 4, May 11 and May 18) starting at 9:00 AM at Pequannock High School (rain dates are the Sundays following).
The RIDESMART course fee is $25. Space is limited. You must be a member of BTCNJ to register; annual dues are $25 for individuals.
