Riders should be intermediate to advanced level and be self-sufficient. This is not a beginner-level ride.
Road Ride from Canton Recreation Park south on Hwy-215 toward Lake Logan. Many routes incorporating this area depending on cycling ability.
Route choices include Camp Daniel Boone, Lake Logan dam, Sunburst Campground, "the waterfall," "triple arch bridge," and the Blue Ridge Parkway.
No rider will be dropped although we may split up into groups.
Unfortunately, I’m afraid the roads will be too wet for riding at 10:00am. It’s supposed to be cloudy so they won’t dry quickly enough. 😥

For anyone who is recovering from illness or injury, or just hasn’t been on a bicycle in a long time.
A guided ride of 8 or 10 flat miles, easy pace, no-one is left behind.
HELMETS REQUIRED, all riders must sign a Liability Waiver.
Make sure your bike is in working order because the ride leader is not a bike mechanic. Bikes acceptable are: Road, Cross, Mountain Bikes WITH SLICK TIRES. Please, no knobby tires.

START LOCATION: "RIVERS EDGE PARK," located on the north side of the Pigeon River on 734 Thickety Road. Use Charles Street Bridge from Clyde to cross the river, then turn right.

FOR INTERMEDIATE to ADVANCED LEVEL CYCLISTS:
Follow an assortment of routes north of Clyde and along NC-209. Riders must be comfortable in traffic and on steep descents; all bikes in working order.
Minimum pace is average 12mph, but many who ride average higher.
