This is a beautiful location and the trails are awesome! Come join us whether you are a seasoned Demo Rider or an Intermediate who is looking to get your wings. We will stop at the features to make so you get your dose of air. There are so many jumps - you can ride them all or none. There are plenty of ride-arounds. Not sure if you will be feeling up to attempting the jumps? No problem & no pressure. The first time I rode there I just couldn't believe how cool this place was. Being of the Bay Area mind set where only outlaws ride singletrack, I was in awe that this place existed. I didn't take any of the jumps but just rode around in a daze.
This ride will be about 20 miles and is recommended for Intermediate Riders and above. I highly advise bringing trail snacks - you'll need'em. As long as you can climb well, you'll be fine. No whiners please, we'll all be in pain together on the climbs. Looking to do 2 maybe 3 loops if we have a strong/fast group. We'll ride up Highland - Buzzard Lagoon - catch as much singletrack as we can to the Helipad (typically riders skip these gems) - drop down Sawpit - climb up Sulphur Springs to Helipad again (easier said than done - but misery loves company so come along). Then we'll drop down Braile and out (that's 20 miles) unless we can squeeze another loop in - rare but never say never. Demo fever is potent.
Post ride we can stop at the Summit Market for a post ride feast. They have these incredible Tri-tip Bacon Cheddar Sandwiches - which alone make the drive well worth it. No doubt that you'll have worked up a healthy appetite, so please come prepared.
We should be able to set up car pools for those who are close to each other. With a riding start time of 7:00, 2 loops & lunch we are typically back in the Bay Area by 2:00.
