• Salado Greenway - McAllister Park to Ladybird Johnson Park

    Location visible to members

    We will meet at the McAllister Park trailhead for the Salado Creek Greenway (in the big parking lot by the dog park) and ride south from McAllister Park to Ladybird Johnson Park and back, about 4-5 miles roundtrip. Please be there 5-10 minutes early so we can introduce ourselves. We will take this at a newbie pace, and nobody will get left behind. If you need to stop and walk, or stop and rest, someone will stop with you. In addition to your bikes and helmets, please bring water. We will limit this to 15 people so we don’t hog the trails - please be considerate and update your RSVP right away if you know you can’t make it. Pets in proper carriers are welcome, as are children who know how to ride.

    Brackenridge Park Joske's Pavillion

    Designed for straight-up beginners, or folks just getting back into biking, we will explore a few of the trails around Brackenridge Park! Meet at the Joske pavilion. This may be anywhere from 1-3 miles, depending on how folks are feeling. If you don’t have a bike, you can rent one from the B-cycle station by the Witte! Please be there 5-10 minutes early so we can introduce ourselves. We will take this at a beginner pace, and nobody gets left behind. If you have to stop and walk, or stop and rest, someone will stop with you. In addition to your bikes, be sure to wear your helmets and bring water. Space is limited so we don't hog the paths.
