The Eat Well, Live Well Bike Ride

  • The Cove

606 W. Cypress, San Antonio, TX (map)

    29.440659 -98.500600

  • We will park and meet at The Cove parking lot - wheels down by 8:30. Look out Lucinda or Martin. Feel free to text or call at[masked]
  • The Cove's philosophy is Eat Well! Live Well!   They serve SOL food!  Sustainable, Organic, Local."

This sounds like a nice alternative to the regular Blue Star Missions Ride. Let's meet at the cove restaurant at 8:30 am then ride to Alamo bike shop and start the ride at 9:00am. We will ride to the missions via the trail. It's about 20 miles in total.

When our ride is complete we'll hang out at The Cove for food and drinks.  The food and drinks are really good here.  They have been featured on Food Network's Diners, Drive In's and Dives, in the New York Times, and in Texas Monthly Magazine. We can eat outdoors with our bikes by our table or secure them in our vehicles.  The restaurant and beer garden is extremely casual and laid back.  I'm going to make this a bi-weekly ride.  Here is a link to The Cove's website:  http://thecove.us/

The Alamo Bike Shop is located on 1016 N Flores and their phone number is 226-2453. Here is a link to their website: http://alamobikeshop.com/index.html

***This is a self support ride so please bring water, snacks, an extra tube, a pump, and a front and back light for your bike.***

Please feel free to text or call Lucinda at[masked] if you need help or have a question. Hope to see everyone soon.

What happened to the Blue Star Missions ride on Saturday mornings? I don't see it posted for this week.

It is not but if anyone want to ride it to the Shell and back I will join, but start time would be 8 to beat the heat.

This is a good replacement for the mini mission ride, but it's not gonna fly with people who want more than a casual ride on Saturdays. Why did you cancel the mission ride every other week?!?
