Describe your interest in Big Data.

I have used data in advocacy/political campaigns and in the non-profit space. I know there are benefits to using big data. Unsure of the broader applications.

What would you like to learn from this group?

How can big data improve the life of the non-techies? Are there technologies that currently have a high "tech knowledge" barrier to entry that can be made more accessible to non techies? How can nonprofit orgs use big data?

Do you have suggestions on program formats or topics?

Maybe have a program simply titled "big data for non-techies" and have each discussion/event address how big data can used in a different part of "non techie"/ everyday life.

Are you interested in helping to organize? Or more interested in hanging in the back of the class...

Interested in organizing and being helpful

Do you have connections in the Big Data industry you're open to approaching? (guest speakers, venue sponsorship, etc)

I have a couple, and would love the opportunity to make new connections.
