It is one of the largest such catalog ever assembled in the retail industry, managing hundreds of millions of availability at UPC location level and billions of raw inventory combinations. All of them are done in real-time with a fast data architecture to keep the catalog up to date to serve on-line and in-store experience. You will hear in the meeting how the Macy’s Technology team is leverage messaging, in-memory database, Spark, and Cassandra to accomplish this and span the catalog across multiple data centers and cloud to achieve resiliency and geo redundancy. • What to bring • Important to know
