Hi everyone, it looks like we'll have a nice, if somewhat cool evening for our first Wednesday night ride of the season. Temperatures should be in the mid 40's with a bit of a wind off the Potomac. (Remember this is in July when it's 90 degrees).

Sunset time for Wednesday is 7:13 PM - in reality we have until about 7:25 PM before it gets too dark to safely bike (this is NOT an after dark ride). We'll leave promptly at 6:15 PM, ride south on the Mt. Vernon, through Old Town and then towards Jones Point. For our first ride we'll ride out 30 minutes, then turn around and ride back. As the days get longer, future Wednesday night rides will be longer. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone at our first ride. Faisons monter nos vélos!

Shouldn't lighting and reflective gear be added to the list?

At least for right now, though I reserve the right to change to a yes if I find my work taking me down to that area again.

Bummed about the Reston change, was ready to RSVP "Yes" for that one! Vienna is good, too. :)
