BFA 1 Coffee Ride 05-04-24
Our first ride of the season. If you come early you can enjoy a FREE cup of coffee, any kind, any size, at the Red Silo, 6590 Holman Street, before the 10am ride, just tell them you’re with Bike Friendly Arvada. Easy 12 mile route for this first ride, hidden gems, unknown trails, secret places. If you want, you can stay for coffee after the ride.All riders are required to wear a helmet, follow bike safety and traffic laws, and sign a waiver. Our ride leaders will give a briefing 5 minutes before the ride begins and outline the route and other specifics for the day. So try to arrive at least 20 minutes before the ride begins to give yourself enough time to get ready.
What to bring:
• Your bike (in good working condition)
• Water (preferably a water bottle or camelback)
• Your helmet
• Sunscreen
• Sunglasses (recommended to keep bugs and sunlight out of your eyes)
• Weather appropriate clothing

BFA 2 Big Dry Creek Ride 05-19-24
This ride has a new starting point, we will start at the Big Dry Creek Trailhead just west of 9737 Wadsworth Parkway at Brentwood Way and Independence Drive, look or signs. Ride starts at 10am and follows the Big Dry Creek Trail northeast to 144th in Westminster. The trail is paved so bring your road, hybrid or mountain bike. This is an out and back ride with only a 300 foot elevation change.All riders are required to wear a helmet, follow bike safety and traffic laws, and sign a waiver. Our ride leaders will give a briefing 5 minutes before the ride begins and outline the route and other specifics for the day. BFA 3 Trails Day Rec Ride 06-01-24
The Rec Ride will leave from Majestic View Park, W72nd Ave just west of Carr, at 9am. The ride will be mostly on W 80th Ave out to near the reservoir and return via Ralston Creek Trail to miss the still ongoing 72nd Ave construction project.All riders are required to wear a helmet, follow bike safety and traffic laws, and sign a waiver. Our ride leaders will give a briefing 5 minutes before the ride begins and outline the route and other specifics for the day. So try to arrive at least 20 minutes before the ride begins to give yourself enough time to get ready.
We will follow Jefferson County Covid protocols.

Several area lakes have very nice bike trails around their perimeter. We leave from Gold Strike Park, 5500 W 56th Ave at 9am and explore several of these lakes and link them together on trails or bike friendly streets to make an interesting 18 mile tour of lakes.All riders are required to wear a helmet, follow bike safety and traffic laws, and sign a waiver. - BFA 6 Brewery RideColorado Tap House, Arvada, CO
BFA 6 Brewery Ride 07-13-24
We’ll start at the new Colorado Tap House at 14982 W 69th Ave at 2pm on Saturday. The Colorado Tap House is located right on Ralston Creek Trail just west of Indiana and is very bike friendly with 50 individual bike parking spaces. This is a loop out Ralston Creek Trail, over the reservoir (optional shortcut provided) then back along Van Bibber Creek Trail. First four miles up hill and last 12 down or level.At the end of the ride, the Colorado Tap House will be handing out tickets good for a $2 off any item. With 30 taps there are plenty of beer options, but also cider, seltzer, wine and cocktails. They serve coffee drinks, kombucha, CBD Cider, Tommyknocker N/A Beer, Root Beer and soft drinks plus small food items. Separately there will be 2 food trucks available.
