Please join us for an picturesque adventure starting at Watford Junction and cycling to St Albans along many quiet back roads and country lanes.

This ride is suitable for all levels. The following bikes will be suitable; hybrids, mountain, cyclocross, gravel, it will not be suitable for road bikes with skinny tires.
We will be cycling at a sociable easy pace, most cyclists should easily be able to keep up.

Please note, Bicycles are allowed at the weekends on the Overground, District Line, Hammersmith & City and Circle lines and the above ground sections of all the other lines at the weekends.

Here is the plan for our day:
1) Meet inside Watford Junction Station, bikes are allowed on the London overground. Watford Junction is easily accessible from all corners of London on the overground. Or you can take a London Midland train from Euston, which takes 15mins to Watford Junction, direct. Oyster cards are valid to use on both.
Please provide the meetup fee of £3 to the group leader.

2) Cycle to St Albans

3) Lunch in a cafe in St Albans.
4) Cycle back to Watford Junction.

Please note that this is a group ride and we will be cycling as a group, no one will be left behind.
Our average cycling speed will be approx 9mph
The total mileage including the lunch stop will be approx 24 miles.

Helmet, bell, lights and a spare inner tube will be compulsory.

This meetup will be weather dependent so 12 hours before the event begins if heavy rain is forecast then the event will be cancelled, please check the website the evening before the event begins.

Please note if you are a "no show for the ride", or you frequently cancel last minute, you may be put on the waiting list for future rides.
