Our camping always includes hiking. It's much more difficult to walk carrying a heavy backpack. Please bring a big backpack with more space to bring food for BBQ.

You need to wake up at 6:30 a.m. and start hiking at 6:45 a.m. . You need to have a small bag to carry some bread and water for breakfast on the top of a mountain.

Some new information has been updated. Please read carefully the details before you come.

I advise the ladies can group buy a better tent and share . If you don't like the tent you can sell online.

Camp site Near hostel is fine, can let beginner adapting wild life. Also in Japan camping site always include toliet and some basic facilities. (Or even small mountain house). I like the idea as it is like the Taiwan mountain camping.

Ding Ding, long time no see. Glad to know you are an expert in camping. You can share your Tao Bao link here and now. I hope more people will own a tent in the future.

Alfred, What a cool idea for Christmas! I don't have a sleeping bag. Is there somewhere I can rent one?

if the temperature is not low, I make it with a mat, fleece blanket and down jacket inside tent instead of sleeping bag

everyone joining this camping need to have their own tent and sleeping bag that's warm enough in winter in Tai Mo Shan. No Sharing of tent is allowed.(unless you are a couple or very best friends)

    November 23

    • Alfred Y.

and you are not allowed to sleep in a room of the Youth Hostel too.

Hi Alfred. So, hiking up to Tai Mo Shan this time, or biking again? :D heehee!

    November 22

    • Alfred Y.

Hiking. Walking in the bushes along natural trails climbing rocks and stepping our feet into streams.

      November 23

  • Lawrence C.

Assuming not exceptionally cold of course. I used to wear a down jacket sleeping in the tent.

Single tent and sleeping bag can be pretty cheap if you don't mind that much the Brand. Probably around $500 for both is enough. RCoutfitters is quite a store for you to take a look.

Alfred, i don't have a tent, can I book a room in YHA instead? :P

    1 · November 21

    • Alfred Y.

This is a camping activity and I like camping so much that I'll feel bad if someone sleep in a room.
