Kitchen mycology, mainly culturing and propagating edible mushrooms. About to start hacking a freezer into a fungus incubator. Setting up a Agri-tech incubator in Wellington, New Zealand. Open science and open access evangelist :)
I am from Wellington, New Zealand. I am a mycologist, and my specialty is edible ectomycorrhizal mushrooms, e.g. Porcini. I'm also a lab-less molecular biologist/geneticist/biotechnologist. For my day job, I work for the New Zealand Government.
