Events in Birmingham for small business owners

From: Rickie

To all those of you who are new members, (welcome!) this is my monthly email to remind you of other events going on in Birmingham before we meet again at the end of the month.

First up, Jelly is this Friday from 9am (till finish) at Urban JQ. This is for co-working so bring your laptop, notepad or whatever you are working on and come and have some chat while you work. All the info is here

Next Likemind is a coffee morning ‘to start your Friday right’ on the 3rd Friday of each month, 8.30 – 10am in St Paul’s Square. All the info is here

Talking of coffee, a little note that Coffee Birmingham, a movement encouraging us all to use our independent coffee shops and businesses is having a Coffee Birmingham day on September 29th. Do join in and encourage all your friends to support their local businesses too. As a small business, I feel it’s my duty to support other small business people – hence all the events I run are in indie businesses! More info on Coffee Brum here. They also have an art launch in Urban Coffee CS this week. Get your invite here.

Finally on to new exciting news! StartUp Saturday is launching in Birmingham to 'start your business in a day'. This is the workshop Enterprise Nation have been running in London for some time and it's the first time they are doing anything outside of the capitol. All the info is here.
You’ll see I’m slightly biased but you’ll also see the relevance to each and every fledging business owner in the city! Hope you can attend and do email me back with any questions.

Look forward to seeing you at Jelly on Friday or somewhere very soon!
