An American singer-songwriter, whose music has been described an indie rock with echoes of folk tradition. (From her website:) Sharon Van Etten’s Remind Me Tomorrow comes four years after Are We There, and reckons with the life that gets lived when you put off the small and inevitable maintenance in favor of something more present. Throughout Remind Me Tomorrow, Sharon Van Etten veers towards the driving, dark glimmer moods that have illuminated the edges of her music and pursues them full force. With curling low vocals and brave intimacy, Remind Me Tomorrow is an ambitious album that provokes our most sensitive impulses: reckless affections, spirited nurturing, and tender courage. (This event is created on behalf of Helen) Tickets available on Dice and Eventbrite, amongst other vendors, from £24.75.
Dub and reggae legend in a small venue tour. Expect bass and effects.
This event is called “Under the Apple Tree with Wildwood Kin”, with acoustic sessions from Ferris & Sylvester and Demi Marriner. Formerly solo artists in their own right, Issy Ferris and Archie Sylvester make music with elements of blues, folk and good old-fashioned rock 'n' roll. Demi Marriner is a country/folk/Americana singer-songwriter who has supported Rufus Wainwright and played the main stage at Wychwood festival. Tickets available on Ticketmaster and possibly elsewhere, for around £18.50
