*** UPDATE ***
Being DISRUPTIVE we'd like to make a change to our event. As such we will now be running a Panel Q&A Style session in the post food session.
This will include Eric Han for all things 'Containers', Ed Tucker for all your 'Security' needs, and our very own Les Frost will be taking a seat to offer up his views on 'Development, Digital & Learning'.
We look forward to seeing you all there and hope you come prepared with some great questions for our panel.
Welcome to our September MeetUp, which will take place at The Old Joint Stock (http://www.oldjointstock.co.uk/) in Birmingham, starting at 18:00.
This month we have a special guest all the way from the USA - Eric Han - co-creator of the Google Container Engine (GKE), and the first product manager at Kubernetes!
As usual we'll be using the 1st Floor Function Room and providing food & drinks 😊
So, we’ll be diving into the world of Digital & DevOps to include...
17:30-18:00 - Meet & Greet
18:00 - Why Enterprises are adopting a Multi-cloud strategy, and how you can too! - Eric Han
Most customers today have some form of public + public, or public + private deployments. Cloud native development enables organizations to build a portable software stack that is DevOps driven, free from vendor lock-in, and more capable of delivering a superior set of capabilities than a single cloud can. This allows customers to reduce the risk of service disruption, reduce the pricing risk, and most importantly, pick the right cloud for the job! This session talks about how data “agility” with container management platforms like Kubernetes are helping enterprises adopt multi-cloud operations by simplifying complex deployment and management of microservices across environments.
