Birches Valley Forest Centre is an excellent starting point for an exhilarating day out on Cannock Chase. From the midlands best bike trails and woodland walks. I previously visited Cannock Chase a few years ago and thoroughly enjoyed my biking experience within the picturesque scenery and valleys to the dedicated singletrack of follow many bike trails for ALL abilities!
I will be hiring a bike so don't feel you need to have your own bike!
for hiring bikes see the below link
Bike Hire (http://www.chasetrails.co.uk/bike-hire/)
You don’t need to bring your own bike to ride the trails at Cannock Chase. Bike hire is on offer from the resident bike shop Swinnerton Cycles Forest Centre. They offer both hardtail (front suspension only) or full suspension (front and rear suspension) bikes for hire from as little as £20, as well as kids bikes, trailers, and “tag along” bikes which attach to an adult’s mountain bike.
To hire a bike, you will need:
Photo ID – either a Driving Licence or PassportUtility bill with current address
Booking in advance is strongly recommended, especially on weekends and school holidays.
I have contacted the bike hire place (Swinnerton Cycles Bike Shop) and they recommend in booking in advance (week in advance). I have been before but I took my own bike but I do recommend in hiring.
