    Moody Blue Bar

    Meetup location will be at the Chevron Station adjacent to the Barber Motorsports Complex and Bass Pro Shop. Take I-20 East out of Birmingham and get off at Exit 140. Meetup time is 1:00 p.m. Kickstands up at 1:15. Leaving out of Leeds on Hwy 25 South to Sterrett. CR55 North out of Sterrett to CR43 North; then making a left turn onto Camp Winnataska Rd. to Hwy 78. Left turn onto Hwy 78 West, right turn onto Kelly Creek Rd. Left turn onto Park Ave. to Hwy 411. Left turn onto Hwy 411 South. Moody Blues Bar will be approximately 1.5 miles on the left. If you haven't been to Moody Blues before you're in for a treat. Very clean and laid back with pool tables, a chill out area with a sofa, TV's, dance floor area in the back and outside area with a ping pong table, corn hole, etc. Nice place to just hang with friends. This is a choice route with some decent twists and turns. There are a few near 90 degree turns so heads up. Solo riders should have no problem. If you're 2 up take it easy. See ya'll on the 18th.

    Ride is to Riverbend Sports Bar and Grill. Take exit 120 (Ensley exit) which is south of malfunction junction, off of I-59. Meetup location will be just off the exit at the Jet Pep gas station, just past the KFC. Riding Hwy 269 north, Hwy 61 south, Hwy 21 north to the lake. Meetup time is 1:00. Ride should take approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. Some nice twist and turns. 2 up riders should have no problem, so bring the spouse, friend or significant other. Kickstands up at 1:15. *******UPDATE: Jet Pep is now a "Marathon" gas station.

    Barbers has motorcycle track days all the time. I will be at one this Saturday just to watch and learn, but I plan on doing some in the spring. So ride up there this Saturday at 8:30 and join me to learn some more about the track day process. To do the track days is a process: your bike has to pass tech inspection and there is a little prep to be done to the bike. visit the Barbersmotorspeedway to learn more.
