As part of the FREE 4 Squares Weekender - a large scale spectacular show "As The World Tipped" will be performed by Wired Aerial Theatre in Victoria Square, Birmingham on Saturday evening at 9PM.

Combining dramatic film and visuals with breath-taking aerial performance and
stunning choreography, As The World Tipped confronts one of the
most pressing issues for the planet with spectacle, humour and
emotion.

At the Secretariat of the Copenhagen Climate Change conference, harassed
staff fail to notice as the world around them literally and metaphorically
slides toward disaster. Suspended above the audience in the night sky, the
performers struggle to control their increasingly precarious world as they do
battle with the effects of drastic environmental catastrophe.

‘This outdoor show is a lot more than mere spectacle. It does that rare
thing - it makes you gulp with astonishment, but also think.' The
Stage

Written and directed by Nigel Jamieson, one of the world’s leading creators
of outdoor spectacle (Sydney Olympics, Liverpool Capital of Culture), As The
World Tipped has been created by the pioneering Wired Aerial Theatre, is
produced by XTRAX and is presented by Birmingham Hippodrome.

“The highlight was definitely the ethereal acrobatics of A Wired
Aerial Theatre production on the As The World Tipped Stage. What I thought was
just a group of people dangling on a vertical platform – as if that wasn’t
dangerous and exciting enough – turned out to be a mesmerising
performance;” What’s on Sydney
