What do you know about bitcoins?

Bitcoins are a crypto-currency that have fixed rules enforced by a network of computers that both follow and enforce the rules. Coins are created using a sort-of lottery/proof of work system. All the coins are stored in the block chain which is basically a giant distributed database of all of the bitcoin transactions and also tracks balances on bitcoin addresses. Bitcoin client software then communicates with this network to authorize your transactions and keep track of your addresses in a software wallet. Awesomest idea ever, right?

How do you use money? Are you a business, consumer, programmer, investor?

I use money for commerce. (That was a broad question.) I'm a freelance system administrator and web developer.

I've been following the Bitcoin market for a while. I'd like to find more ways to use this currency. Just stumbled across this group via Google.
