We'll start off the evening with a special introduction and a word of welcome to Bitcoin Wednesday and the Dutch cryptocurrency sector from ABN Amro, then proceed to the following presentations.
"The Next Crisis: 10 Years After Lehman Brothers" by Arno Wellens
Arno is a Dutch financial journalist and author of "The Euro Evangelism" about critical flaws in the euro. He helped lead the successful national Ukraine referendum in 2016 that embarrassed Prime Minister Mark Rutte.
"The Future of Retail Banking in a Crypto World" by Malcolm Tan
Malcolm is the CEO of Crowdbank, which aims to offer crypto and retail banking services via the NEO blockchain, including exchange services, peer-to-peer payments, lending and insurance. It also plans to introduce a cryptocurrency with a stable value that will be linked to the value of the euro.
"BS Aside, What It Really Takes To Do ICO-Style IPO's" by Ransu Salovaara
Ransu is CEO of TokenMarket, an ICO advisory firm based in Gibraltar, which has worked with more than 35 tech startups to execute token sales that have raised nearly 400 million dollars.
"Tracking the Crypto Economy" by Jonathan Knegtel
Jonathan is CEO of Blockdata, a software as a service company that provides background information on blockchain-related organizations. He will give the first public demo of Blockdata and share some of the insights the service has uncovered.
"The Future of News Media in a Cryptocurrency World" by Onik Mia
Onik Mia is CEO of Multra, a decentralized news app that pays you for reading news. Onik is also Vice Chair of the Ethereum Enterprise Alliance media working group and a member of the Blockchain Observatory in the European Parliament.
"Decentralized Privacy" by Jelle Pol and Emanuele Francioni
Jelle and Emanuele are co-founders of Dusk, a privacy-centric blockchain with a new consensus mechanism that aims to enable decentralized and anonymous services like video- and audio-conferencing, media on demand and file storage and transfer.
"Blockchain-Based Sustainability" by Richard Kohl
Richard is the founder of Bitcoin Wednesday and a board member of The Bitcoin Foundation of The Netherlands.
This edition of Bitcoin Wednesday will be held in cooperation with ABN Amro, at Circl, the bank’s new center for sustainability. Following this theme, we'll talk about blockchain tech as a key to a sustainable future.
