Menno Weij, partner of Amsterdam-based law firm, Solv, will address the recent ruling on VAT for digital currency from the EU Supreme Court. Menno is handling the case currently in appeal in Overijssel about whether or not Bitcoin is money, something else or something more.

Joining Menno is David Goldstone, a senior commercial barrister at Quadrant Chambers in London who belongs to the UK Digital Currency Association's Regulatory Working Group.

His presentation is titled "Financial Regulation and Digital Currencies -- A Necessary Evil or Just Evil?"

This month we've opened our benefit dinner again to newcomers and regulars.

The conference program runs from 1500 - 1700, with a reception and dinner from 1700 - 1930.

- Conference and reception are both free with a cash bar for drinks throughout.

- All of the speakers will be joining us for dinner.

Menu Selections:

Slow-Roasted garlic, thyme and lemon chicken, green mixed salad, Parmesan cheese, taggia olives and potatoes gratin from the oven;


or

Classic beef Bourguignonne, oven-baked pumpkin, parsnip and carrot in bio olive oil with cucumber salad;

and

For vegetarians there's lentil and quinoa salad with goat cheese and gorgonzola.
