  • Portfolio Review Speed Dating!

    Resource/Ammirati, An IBM Company

We are back and better than ever! Apologies for the hiatus, sometimes life gets in the way of great things. For our next event, we designed a way for everyone to be reintroduced and also see each other’s work. Introducing: Speed Dating Portfolio Reviews Come to network, learn, get inspired or all 3! We are still working out the details, but the speed dating activity will go as follows: Each pair will have 5-10 minutes each to get to know each other and give feedback on each other’s work. Next, we’ll switch spots for another 5-10 minutes followed by a rotation. The event will be hosted at the Resource Ammirati, An IBM Company at 19 Union Square West. There will be light refreshments and if you are able to chip in a couple of dollars to help cover the cost, I wouldn't be mad at that :) Hope to see you there! Note: We don't have a ton of space so please only rsvp if you intend on going so we can get an accurate headcount.

  • Where are all the black designers? Meet & Greet and discussion!

    Location visible to members

So Sorry again for the short notice. I had to travel again for work and I get back on the weekend. This is the final time I promise! Welcome everyone! For our first meetup I wanted to do something inclusive to give everyone an opportunity to meet each other. So lets get together and talk about the lack of diversity in the design world. I think this will be a great opportunity to break the ice and discuss solutions to take with us going forward. This will be a pretty laid back discussion so come with an open mind to talk or even just listen. I hope you enjoy. The event will be held at ThoughtWorksNY
