  • Discussion on "Black Lives Matter" and Race Related issues
Hi everyone, I just got back from an east coast tour of the States, all the way from NYC to South Beach Miami. Tensions are high and everyone is on edge. I mean things are absolutely crazy back home. Having said that ,I thought it would be a great idea to get everyone together and have an open discussion about our plight as African Americans and African Canadians. Everyone is welcome to participate regardless of race. So if you'd like to participate, please RSVP ASAP so I can organize the appropriate size venue. By the way I'm open to any suggestions on the venue. So let's get together and have that "conversation" and hopefully some good will come of it. Have a great week everyone, hope to hear from you all soon.

  • The Pink "O" Course Charity Event
What's up everyone, I hope you've all enjoyed the summer. Hopefully there's still more decent weather to come. Some of you may have already noticed that I'm all about supporting our local charities. My philosophy is that even if I only raise just one dollar for any particular charity, than that's one more dollar than they had and all for a good cause. I try to spread the wealth with all of the various charities out there by incorporating their fund raising with out fitness events. The next two events I have scheduled is the Rethink Breast Cancer fund raising drive at our Pink O Course happening on Saturday, September 20th. To date me and my team have raised almost $100,000.00 for the charity. During my work with this particular charity and in fact with all of the charities, I'm always surprised on how many lives are affected by these dreadful diseases. Almost everyone knows someone who's been affected by one or more of these diseases. So I'm asking everyone to please come out and support this event. It's a fun event with lots to do and see and its all for a good cause. As with all of our events, this event is for ALL levels of fitness. You may even find yourself running along side breast cancer survivors who would definitely appreciate your support. Please go to (pinkocourse.com) to register and fund raise. We're expecting over 300 participants to come out. I would like to have at least 500 participants come out and you can make that happen. • The Toronto Fitness Challenge in Support of The Sick Kids Foundation
What's up everyone, hope you're all enjoying the "tropical temperatures". Hopefully summer will eventually arrive. Speaking of summer, I wanted to invite everyone out to our second annual summer Toronto Fitness Challenge in support of the Sick Kids Foundation. The event will be happening on the weekend of May 31st to June 1st, 2014 at the downtown Toronto Metro Convention Center. Last year we had an amazing event in which we raised over $18,000.00 for the Sick Kids Foundation. This year our goal is to raise $40,000.00. Everyone out there in the meetup world can make this happen and have tons of fun while you're at it. The challenge itself is to participate in as many classes as you can or you can just show up and do whatever you're comfortable with. There will be tons of vendors, plenty of food and of course plenty of active good looking people. All of the classes will be taught by Top celebrity fitness professionals ie. Tommy Europe from the hit show "The Last 10 pounds", Famed WWE Wrestler and Yoga guru "Trish Stratus" and tons more. There will be challenges and contest for cash prizes, swag bags plenty of entertainment. This weekend will be packed. You can come out and participate in the entire weekend or just come out on For the Saturday or Sunday. I'm asking everyone to please go to the event website "thetorontofitnesschallenge.com" to check out the event. You can also register for the event on the same site. • Spring Break Coed (INDOOR) Beach Volleyball Bash and Barbeque
What's up guys, I know that we've all had enough of this brutal winter. Apparently spring is just around the corner, but I just couldn't wait any longer. So I've decided we're going shake off the winter blues with or without the help of mother nature. So here is our contribution to end your winter misery. We're throwing a indoor beach volleyball barbeque bash and its all about fun. no experience necessary. It's coed volleyball in the sand in an awesome heated indoor facility. So feel free to dress for the beach. which means whatever dressing for the beach means to you. The music will be blasting, the courts will be sizzling, the beer will be cold and the barbeque will be fired up and smoking. Yours truly will be manning the grill, but anyone is welcome to help out . Hamburgers, hot dogs and a assortment of beach fare will be on the menu and you're also more than welcome to bring anything that you'd like to throw on the grill. The facility comes complete with full men and women change facilities and tons of free parking. The location is also easily accessible by TTC. The event is only going to be $20.00 per person which covers everything except alcohol. After volleyball, everyone is welcome to stay and hangout for as long as you like. I need to get an accurate count on who's coming out to the event for food and logistical purposes, so please RSVP only after you've made your payment for this event. You can make your payment online at (bit.lymar23volleyball). We can accept walk ups for cash payments, but that would make it really difficult for figuring out how much food to order and other logistics. So please make every attempt to reserve your spot online. So clear your calendar for next Sunday guys and as always please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Have a great weekend everyone!
