We had a great time here last time, so let's return to Fire & Stone for some cheap (but very interesting and delicious!) pizza offerings.
Fire & Stone have three restaurants in London, all offering atmospheres that are vibrant and stylish whilst still being welcoming and relaxing. And of course, they make excellent pizzas, using wood fired pizza ovens and designing their seventeen pizza options after seventeen different cities. Choose from pizzas inspired from everywhere from Beijing (aromatic shredded crispy duck, hot gin sauce, mozarella, spring onions and cucumber strips) to Copenhagen (crumbled danish blue cheese, chunks of butternut, red onion, mozarella, pumpkin seeds and rocket) In particular we'll be attending the location at Spitalfields, located within the Old Spitalfields market; so lots for you to look at if you get there early, and lots of places for us to go to afterwards if you'd like to stay a bit later!
You can view the menu here to see what's available: http://www.fireandstone.com/pizza/pdfs/2012-AD525.pdf#view=fit (but of course, ignore the prices, they will all be £6 for us) You can also view their pastas, cocktails, and other drinks on this page. You can view the dessert menu here: http://www.fireandstone.com/pizza/pdfs/A5DessertCoffeeMenuLON.pdf
Please note that the offer does not apply to their Seasonal Specials. You can of course still order these three choices, but you won't get a discount on them. On that note, you don't have to order pizza at all if you don't want to!
This event will be as relaxed as they come. Eat as much as you want, drink as much as you want. Want three courses? Just want pizza? For that matter, just want dessert? Your choice. There will also be the option to go to a local pub afterwards for those of you who want further socialising :)
If this event is fully booked when you look, add yourself to the waiting list. Where possible I will ALWAYS aim to get an additional table or some extra spaces if there's a demand for it.
Hosted by Nicola, assisted by Ruban, Danielle and Robert. Head to any of us if you're feeling a bit worried and want help being introduced to everyone - but everyone is very friendly, so don't worry!
Fees and Refunds
- To prevent no shows, there is a £5 deposit to attend this event. When you attend, £3.60 of this charge will go directly towards your order. £1 will be used to go towards the costs I have to pay to meetup to run this group. If you are a full member (http://www.meetup.com/the-casual-foodie-club/about/ if you're not but would like to be) then you will receive the £1 back either at the time or the following evening. As for the missing 40p that is floating around in space somewhere, that's just the paypal charges, unfortunately.
- They will also charge a service charge of 12.5%. To make this easier on everyone, we will just divide this equally between everyone. Don't worry, this has NEVER been more than £5, and in this case I'm going to assume much lower!
- If you cancel within five days of this event happening, you will not receive any refund. If you cancel six - fourteen days of this event happening you will receive £3 back, and at any time before that you'll get £4 back. Simple :)
