Join us with your baby for a classic ramble on the Heath - a taste of the countryside in London...
We'll enjoy a gentle stroll up past the ponds and through the woodland to Kenwood House, where we can stop for a cuppa and loo/changing stop. Then we'll walk back down through the heath with a quick pop up Parliament Hill to nab some spectacular views of the London skyline.
Walking time: We'll walk for about 35-40 minutes up to Kenwood, and about 45 mins from Kenwood back to the station via Parliament Hill. There are public toilets and baby changing facilities at Kenwood House and also at the bottom of Parliament Hill. After Parliament Hill, walkers can then choose to walk back to Hampstead Heath Overground Station together, or they can make their own alternative routes away.
This walk is suitable for bringing your baby in a sling, baby backpack, or pushchair, whichever is most comfortable for you. We will stick to smooth-ish made (hard) paths, but boots or trainers with good grip are recommended. We will go at a gentle pace, taking it as easy as the slowest walker, and we can stop along the way for nappy changes, snacks and photo opportunities!
Brrrrr....it's cold out there! The forecast says Friday will be sunny but mighty cold, so please make sure you and your babes are wrapped up well. If it's looking particularly wet or snowy we might take a rain-check but I'll be in touch if so. We're aiming for a bright invigorating ramble :-)
Please RSVP. If you can't make it (we all know how often plans change with little ones!), please let us know so that someone else can come.
