Blind Book Date

Do you really not judge a book by it's cover? Let's find out! This is how it works: bring a book that you are willing to part with. Either a book you read that wasn't for you, or something you picked up that you are never going to read, or even something you found in a used book store. Wrap it in boring brown paper (also called butcher paper) with a few descriptive phrases and/or words about the book on it. No titles or authors names aloud! Brown paper and black markers will be provided. All the books will be put in a box, once everyone adds their book to the box they will be able to peruse the choices and pick one that looks good based only on the phrases and/or words on the paper. Once this group meets a few times, we will be able to talk about the books we picked at the previous meetings. Sound like fun? Then RSVP yes and lets have a blast!

Thank you for reminding me! The book I mentioned is called Try by Lily Burana. Mystery solved :)

I really enjoyed this meetup! I appreciated our conversations and the variety of books exchanged. (I am enjoying the first book in the series that the book I received is part of.) I hope everyone is enjoying their new book experience as much as I am.

I remember the answer the person who received "The Yellow Eyes Of Crocodiles" mentioned a book she owns. She bought it because she liked the cover, and the story had to do with a woman in Denver, but couldn't remember the title. I am wondering if this person could tell us what this mystery book is?
