What we're about

The Voice is our first survival skill: use it or lose it! A strong, healthy voice gives us confidence, energy, focus and joy. All levels from the never-sang, new and experienced singers, all ages, levels, are welcome! When singing we increase the serotonin production of 'bliss' endorphins. Group singing builds community and combats loneliness and isolation. Singing great, timeless songs builds cultural connections and improves brain function. The 1st half of each class consists of fun vocal warm-ups and healthy singing exercises for all levels: gentle stretching, rhythmic Body/Movement Awareness movement, ear-training, theory and improvisation, all to great jazz piano accompaniment by Isaac Raz. The 2nd half is for learning wonderful songs from jazz standards to Bob Dylan, followed by a sing-along! All levels and physical concerns welcome. Artist and Somatic Voicework Teacher, Eve Zanni, has taught voice privately for 13 years, directed choirs for The Metropolitan Opera Guild, teaches vocal jazz improvisation, church and community choirs (adults) and young peoples’ vocal and instrumental ensembles in public and private schools. Time to get our Bliss on!
