RSVP on Elastos Melbourne Meetup Page: https://www.meetup.com/Elastos-Melbourne/events/zwqkxpyxlbcc/ We will be providing a great fun environment for you to learn more about Elastos, blockchain and how it relates to you as an average everyday Aussie. In particular we'll describe how Elastos creates a more secure, smarter web where you can create digital scarcity for all creatives and you can own your assets so their free from piracy and replication. Suitable for beginners all the way to blockchain experts. Food and drinks are provided 😋 ---- ELASTOS FOUNDATION ---- Elastos is a completely open source, network operating system that utilizes the decentralization of P2P communication (Elastos Carrier) and security of blockchain to create an end-to-end secure web environment for users, internet of things, and all smart devices. It also creates, for the first time, a space for creatives to build true digital wealth and protect their intellectual property by creating scarcity and true identification of digital content. Elastos is like a decentralised, upgraded security version of the Windows operating system and is owned by everyone (open sourced), not one company. Elastos focuses on providing a secure infrastructure platform for developers and business people to build useful fast, scalable and secure dApps to interact with any blockchain, using any operating system and device. It is protocol agnostic which gives dApp developers complete freedom to choose which blockchain protocols they want to use for their dApps. How & why are blockchain entrepreneurs pursuing privacy offerings?

Join Simon Harman & Typehuman to discuss why privacy has become a seminal issue, and what blockchain has to do with it? About this Event We're excited to host Simon Harman, CEO of the Loki Project to discuss the forces behind the recent push for privacy technologies & regulations, why web3 and blockchain is important to those innovating in privacy-tech, and what he and the Loki team are up to. Simon and the Loki team have been building out a blockchain backed technology platform that aims to enable fully anonymous communications. They raised $9m in March 2018 in order to found Loki as Australia's first privacy focused not-for-profit. Since then they have been busy developing their technology, and recently launched their beta messaging apps to both iOS and Android users. “Loki Messenger allows for truly decentralized, end to end, and private encrypted chats. Loki Messenger is built to handle both online and fully Asynchronous offline messages. Loki Messenger implements the Signal protocol for message encryption. Our Client interface is a fork of Signal Messenger. All communication that passes through Loki messenger is routed through Lokinet.” SImon is a respected leader among the Australian blockchain community, and it's a real pleasure to have him join us to share his views and experiences. The evening will be hosted at the Typehuman office, MC'd by Nick Byrne and be a "fireside chat" setting. Please join us for a rich conversation followed by snacks and drinks.
